An Angeleno who enjoys traveling and the adventures it brings, Rick recently found his way to the Show-Me State. His experience in sales and marketing is rooted in a lifelong entrepreneurial spirit; while still in high school, he launched his first business during the rise of the home computer—smartly identifying that the sustainable “bread and butter” of the industry lay in supplies rather than the hardware.

Driven by an inquisitive mind, Rick taught himself to program early on, starting with the HP-21 and eventually mastering—and outlasting—more computer languages than most will ever encounter. His technical fluency spans everything from APL to Z80 assembly. This same curiosity, paired with a competitive nature, fueled his success in e-commerce, where he generated over $1 million in eBay sales and earned the definitive title of “Tyvek-King.”

Today, Rick is channeling that same problem-solving drive into a new kind of venture: running for Congress. He believes Washington is trapped in outdated, broken systems that require a programmer’s logic and an entrepreneur’s sense of consumer advocacy to fix. He understands how data privacy is threatened, how corporate consolidation hurts everyday people, and exactly what it takes to build a self-sustaining economy.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Rick is a proud father of twin sons who have grown into well-grounded parents themselves. Now a grandfather of six, he finds that his greatest “adventures” often involve his family, whose growth and success remain his proudest achievement and his primary motivation for protecting the future of our communities.

A dedicated ailurophile at heart, Rick now finds himself on thirty acres of Missouri fields and woods. While “baby-sitting” a friend’s dog, two donkeys, and nine goats, he is enjoying a refreshing change of pace. Rick isn’t a career politician looking for a promotion—he’s an independent thinker ready to bring common-sense solutions, technical expertise, and real accountability to Washington.
